To the Editor:
This Easter on April 18, the animated film "The Pilgrim's Progress" will be released in select theaters. Our school, Ottawa Christian Academy, was selected and had the privilege of hosting a private screening of the movie in March.
The book was written by John Bunyan while he was in prison for his faith and first published in 1678. According to Britannica, it is the most famous Christian allegory still in print and has sold more copies than any other christian book, second only to the Bible. It follows the life of a man name Christian on his journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City. We want to encourage everyone in the community to make the effort to see this outstanding, imaginative and entertaining film. There are so many spiritual lessons in "The Pilgrim's Progress" that are just as pertinent now as when they were written so many centuries ago. You won't be disappointed.
